Cabinet approves NIS 3 billion in security cuts

The Security Cabinet unanimously approved a proposal by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to cut NIS three billion from the defense budget. The decision decreased the initial proposal of the Finance Ministry by one billion shekels, from four billion.
According to Netanyahu, the decision will not require additional tax increases and is based upon reserves from previous years. (Atilla Somfalvi and Avital Lahav)
