8 haredim arrested in demonstration released

Eight haredim who were arrested Thursday during a demonstration against draft reform were released Friday to their homes in Jerusalem. One was released by a police officer and seven others were released under restrictive conditions this morning by the Jerusalem Magistrates Court.
Thursday’s demonstration was attended by 30,000 haredim. Five policemen and five demonstrators were lightly injured. Another police officer was moderately injured. (Noam Dvir)
