Assad: Israel shares equipment, intelligence with rebels

Syrian President Bashar Assad accused Israel of lending its support – including sharing equipment and military intelligence – to the rebels with whom his regime is locked in a bloody combat.

"Israel is directly supporting the terrorist groups in two ways, firstly it gives them logistical support and it also tells them what sites to attack and how to attack them," he told the Argentine newspaper Clarin in an interview that was published the Guardian. The embattled leader added he regards a military intervention by the West as "a clear probability." (Ynet)
