IDF spokesperson: Report of Israeli preference for Assad - false

IDF Spokesperson Brig. Gen. Yoav Mordechai referred on his Facebook page to the report published on Saturday by the British Times newspaper, according to which a high ranking member of the Israeli intelligence community believes Israel prefers Syrian President Assad to remain in power.

According to Mordechai, "since I'm well aware of the Military Intelligence stance on Syrian events I find the quote unreliable, even false." (Yoav Zitun)
