New Psychiatrics code to rule: Transsexuals not mentally ill

The American Psychiatry Association will announce on Wednesday the release of the updated Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, the DSM-5, which among its many changes says that transsexuals are no longer to be classified as suffering from a psychiatric disorder.

The manual adds several new mental disturbances, including eating binges, depression due to mourning, children's violent tantrums and menstrual cycle related depression. In addition, Aspberger Syndrome has been listed in the Autism category. (Dr. Itay Gal)
