The British paper The Sunday Express has reported eyewitness accounts that a middle-aged couple "soothed" a crying Madeleine McCann on the evening prior to her disappearance.
Two witnesses claim they saw a middle-aged couple enter the apartment to comfort Madeleine, who was crying, "Apparently they were concerned about the crying and went to see if they could comfort the girl," a source told the paper. It is currently assumed that Scotland Yard detectives are attempting to identify the couple. The investigation was reopened two days ago. (Ynet)
