Knesset Member Ilan Ghilon (Meretz), referred to Finance Minister Yair Lapid's interview to the New York Times and said: "Lapid shows where he puts his money, and expects his public approval to sky rocket in a year and a half. Opportunist politics is what drives him, and his main goal, premiership, was marked before the elections."
In the interview, Lapid said: “I’m going to be bashed now, and be the beneficiary of this within a year or a year and a half.” He added that he hopes to succeed Netanyahu, but is in no hurry. (Moran Azulay)
