Environment Minister Amir Peretz attacked the conclusions of the Tzemach Committee which decided that half of Israel’s gas would be sold overseas. At a conference on the subject at the University of Haifa, Peretz said, "The Committee presented conclusions that are not acceptable to us at all. The decision of whether to keep gas for 20 years or more is not an economic decision, but an ideological, political and public decision."
Peretz added that private transportation and not only public, should also be driven by natural gas. (Billy Frenkel)
