Majed al Krum resident suspected of leading violent ‘cult’

Cleared for publication Tuesday: A Majed al Krum resident, 56, is suspected of leading a violent "cult" community. The group which included six families with 11 parents and 25 children, experienced violence and harsh abuse at the hands of their leader.
The man is suspected of controlling member's daily lives and economic affairs, and forcing adults to behave violently towards their children to ensure "proper education." The police's Northern District Central Unit established a special investigations team headed by Chief Superintendent Shai Dichter and Superintendent Eyal Harrari to look into the group.
