Beersheba Mayor Ruvik Danilovich visited Walid Omar, 22, from the Negev Bedouin community, who was seriously injured in Monday's bank shooting incident. "This is a citizen of Israel, who according to what I understand, defended others with his body."
Danilovich added, "Unfortunately, only when such tragic incidents occur do we speak of coexistence. Morally I feel the need to say that when I received updates from the field, it was talk of an attack done by non-Jews. It is fitting that we all hold ourselves patiently lest we slander others."(Ilana Curiel)
