US Embassy rep present at hearing on outpost evacuation

The US Embassy representative responsible for settlements, Andrew Schott, attended Supreme Court proceedings following a petition by Peace Now, demanding that six illegal outposts be evacuated, including Givat Assaf, which was supposed to be removed a year ago.

In the framework of the petition, the State announced a few days ago that it intends to examine the legalization of the Givat Assaf outpost due to the fact that most of the land was purchased. They are also examining three other communities for the same conditions, because most of their territory is located on state land. (Aviel Magnezi)
