Los Angeles elects first Jewish mayor

Eric Garcetti has won the race to become next mayor of Los Angeles.

The 42-year-old Garcetti will be the city's first elected Jewish mayor. He was elected after promising to increase jobs and patch up the city's battered streets and sidewalks. Garcetti will replace outgoing Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa on July 1. (AP)
