EU delegations in Jerusalem and Ramallah expressed concern with human rights violations in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip which were documented in a Palestinian organization's report.
The report claims there are numerous cases of torture and denial of medical treatment to detainees in Palestinian security forces' facilities. The delegations commended Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas' order to ban torture and establish a committee to follow the implementation of the report's conclusions. (Elior Levy)
