Indictment: Shot hotel receptionist over NIS 50

The Southern District Attorney's Office filed charges against Joseph Menahem, 20, who shot a receptionist at the Orly Hotel in Ashdod in April, in an argument over NIS 50.

 

According to the charges, on the night of April 27, the accused arrived at the hotel with his girlfriend and requested a room for NIS 200. The front desk clerk replied the price was NIS 250. The couple left, then the defendant returned with a gun, shooting the clerk shot several times before fleeing. The victim was hospitalized at Kaplan Medical Center in Rehovot for several days.
