AG: TLV demonstrations free if no excessive cost
None
Attorney General Yehuda Weinstein filed his opinion to the High Court in an appeal dealing with the question of whether the municipality can charge money for demonstrations in Rabin Square.
Weinstein replied that he accepts the arrangement proposed by the municipality, in which excess expenses will be collected only when additional services are requested for the demonstration. He said the arrangement is a proper balance between freedom of expression and the option available to the municipality to charge a fee for the demonstrations. (Aviel Magnezi)
