An indictment was filed Thursday against Yossi Menachem, 20, for allegedly shooting a hotel clerk in April after the latter refused to give him a room. The suspect was apparently asked for a NIS 250 ($68) deposit for the room, but insisted the price was 200 and refused to pay, at which point he was refused service.
According to the indictment, the suspect then left the hotel, but later returned and shot the clerk several times before fleeing the scene. The clerk was evacuated to a hospital in serious condition. (Ilana Curiel)
