Lapid: Gov’t will expand assistance to Holocaust survivors

Finance Minister Yair Lapid informed the chair of the Committee of Labor and Welfare, MK Haim Katz (Likud), that the government would support a bill on Sunday expanding eligibility for nursing benefits to Holocaust survivors.
According to the bill, monthly allowances paid to Holocaust survivors will not be considered as income when determining eligibility for nursing benefits. The cost of the proposal is estimated at tens of millions of shekels per year. (Omri Efraim)
