Arad Police commander Chief Superintendent Yoni Zeitik resigned before being dismissed following the criticism over the police's failure to handle the complaint filed by the mother whose two daughters were later murdered by their father, Ynet has learned.
In a letter sent to his supervisors at the Southern District, Zeitik admitted that his station had failed and that he should pay for the failure. Yet an announcement released by Police Commissioner Yohanan Danino's office failed to mention the fact that the station commander had taken full responsibility for the failure. (Eli Senyor)
