Hamas senior member, Mousa Abu Marzook, said that his organization opposes negotiations between Israel and the Palestinian Authority and denied that Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas is coordinated with Hamas Politburo Chief Khaled Mashaal regarding the American efforts to renew the talks on the basis of the 1967 line.
Marzouk added that "there is no proposal for a retreat to the 1967 line, since what is being proposed is territory exchange, meaning a deviation from these lines." (Elior Levy)
