Baby Itai in 'battle of his life' against rare cancer
Itai Reinich, aged just over a year, will undergo experimental treatment in US on weekend; parents ask public's help to cover expensive costs
Save the baby – Itai Reinich, aged one year and two months, is suffering from a rare form of cancer which attacked his kidneys.
Though surgeons already removed one of his kidneys, the cancer spread to the lungs, and infant Itai had to undergo chemotherapy, which also failed.
Itai's last hope was an experimental treatment that he underwent in Boston, United States over the weekend, Yedioth Ahronoth reported.

"This is our last line of defense in the battle on Itai's life, and we must remain optimistic," said his parents Yonatan and Sarit from their son's bedside in the oncology wing of Schneider Children's Medical Center in Petah Tikva.
The treatments' costs reach $500,000, and the family would greatly appreciate any donations.
