The ministerial legislative committee ratified an amendment to the national insurance law effecting that different subsidies paid to Holocaust survivors by Israeli institutions will not be taken into consideration in determining eligibility for nursing allowances.
The law, submitted by the Likud MK Haim Katz, will cost the State an estimated annual NIS 10,000,000. Two years ago the government approved a similar amendment concerning stipends paid to Holocaust survivors by foreign states. (Omri Efraim)
