Report: Blast sounds near Metula, IDF launches probe

The IDF is looking into reports that a blast sounded near Metula. It remains unclear whether the sound resulted from rocket fire.
No hits have been detected within Israel .

Meanwhile, the Lebanese al-Mayadeen network, affiliated with Hezbollah ,reported that a rocket was launched at the direction of Israel from the Marjayoun region in south Lebanon.
According to the report, Lebanese troops are deploying in the area from which the rocket was launched in an attempt to locate the exact location of the launch.
  • A resident of a Galilee town told Ynet that "the blast sounded far. We recognize the sounds. I just hope it was one and will stay only one. I hope we'll have a quiet night."
The IDF Spokesperson's Unit stated that no launch was identified, but due to the explosion sound, units have started to scour the area.
Earlier Sunday, rockets slammed into two Beirut neighborhoods that are strongholds of Lebanon's Hezbollah group, wounding at least four people, Lebanese security officials and media said.
Lebanese officials said they found the pads from which rockets were fired. According to the officials, the projectiles were launched from the villages of Aitat and Besaba, southeast of the area in which the rockets landed.
