IDF Chief: No intention to step into Syrian fighting

IDF Chief of Staff Brig. Gen. Benny Gantz referred to the Syrian crisis in the Knesset's Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee and said: "We have no intention to step into Syrian fighting. In the case of continued or dangerous fire, we'll act to remove the threat."
Gantz also said: "The Assad regime continues to be challenged. It's control ebbs and flows, and in certain areas, its ability is becoming very limited. On the ground, there's no real progress for either side." (Moran Azulay)
