Police commissioner pledges support of Bedouins

Police Commissioner Yohanan Danino met with Bedouin community leaders following the murder of two toddlers last week in al-Furah, saying "We have opened more stations to boost ties with the community. The hardships suffered by the Bedouin settlement are not the Bedouins' problem, but the State's, and it's our policy to provide equal service."
Commissioner added the conduct of the Arad station, whose officers failed to take seriously a complaint filed by the girls' mother one day prior to the grisly murder, "does not meet the standards expected of the Israeli police force." (Neri Brenner)
