Crisis between Habayit Hayehudi, Hatnua: 2 bills vetoed
None
Justice Minister Tzipi Livni (Hatnua) decided to veto the Habayit Hayehudi bill dealing with Jewish religious services. The decision was made after Habayit Hayehudi party vetoed a bill submitted by Knesset Member Elazar Stern (Hatnua) to increase electoral body voting on the chief rabbi and have it include women.
Hatuna is accusing Habayit Hayehudi of "jamming important legislation" while Habayit Hayehudi attacks Livni for "misunderstanding that her move is a sad day for the citizens of Israel." (Moran Azulay)
