Ashton: Settlements represent threat to two-state solution
European Union Foreign Policy Chief Catherine Ashton said that Israeli settlements represent a threat to the two-state solution of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and urged Israel to stop all settlement construction amid reports of fresh building plans.
It has been widely reported that Israeli Housing Ministry was given the go-ahead for the construction of 300 new homes in settlements in East Jerusalem on Thursday. (AFP)
