Report: Egypt to beef up military presence in north Sinai

The Egyptian military is boosting its military presence in Sinai, sending backup troops to the northern part of the peninsula in order to combat militant groups operating there, according to the Palestinian news agency Ma'an.
The transfer of infantry troops will be safeguarded by six Apache fighter aircrafts. The report also claimed Egypt beefed up the security arrangements of its ships in the Suez Canal. (Roi Kais)
