Likud members on Chief Rabbi issue: Need clear stance

None

MK Tzipi Hotovely (Likud) said at a faction meeting, "The party needs a clear public stance on the appointment of Chief Rabbi of Israel. We must support the return of the Rabbinate to Zionist hands.”

Ministers Gideon Sa'ar and Limor Livnat, and Deputy Foreign Minister Zeev Elkin noted, "The Likud should not be dragged into this issue and it is better off not voicing an independent opinion." (Atilla Shmolfavi)
