The Jerusalem District Prosecutor's Office asked the city's district court to sentence one of the teenagers involved in Jerusalem's Zion Square attack last year to imprisonment. The incident saw Jamal Julani, an Arab youth, severely injured.
According to the Prosecutor's Office, the boy must serve time in prison since he confessed to racist motives to the attack. The boy's attorney, Avi Himi, proposed converting a prison sentence with a fine and community service. He claims the teenager was under the influence of alcohol that night, and has since gone through rehabilitation. (Aviel Magnezi)
