External comptroller appointed to oversee Shin Bet interrogations

Colonel (Res.) Jana Modzagavrishivili has been chosen to be the Shin Bet's complaint comptroller, charged with examining claims of misconduct by those interrogated by the organization.

Modzagavrishivili, has previously served as the army's chief prosecutor, will be the first to be appointed to the position not from within the Shin Bet, but rather from the Justice Ministry. (Aviel Mengazi)
