Man allegedly hits Akko janitor, robs taxi driver

A 24-year-old man from the Jedeidi-Makr village was arrested for allegedly beating a janitor in Akko with a broomstick, breaking his nose. According to suspicions, in the course of his escape he also robbed a taxi driver for hundreds of shekels and extinguished a cigarette on him.

The man denied the allegations, and will be brought tomorrow for a remand hearing before an Akko court. (Maor Buchnick)
