Haredi leaders call mass rally against Women of the Wall

Haredi leaders have called on their sector to attend a prayer and protest rally against Women of the Wall, held on Sunday, parallel to the group of women. To avoid violence, the rabbis instructed that only married haredi men are to participate, and barred young yeshiva students.

Jerusalem Deputy Mayor Yitzhak Pindaros (United Torah Judaism), one of the organizers, told Ynet: "We'll do everything to keep the Western Wall true to the original Jewish tradition, and we'll not let women of the provocation to tarnish its holiness." (Kobi Nachshoni)
