Jordan: Syrian weapons smuggling attempt foiled
The official Jordanian news agency Petra cited a senior source in the Jordanian army saying that border police had stopped an attempt to smuggle large quantities of weapons from Syria into Jordan on Thursday. Several people were captured along the border during the smuggling attempt.
At the same tine, the AP reported that Jordanian Foreign Minister Nasser Judeh warned Syrian ambassador in Amman, Bahjat Suleiman, of the possibility of expulsion from the country if he continues criticizing Jordan’s support of the rebels. (Roi Kais)
