Ex-Kiryat Malachi mayor sentenced to community service

Beersheba's Magistrate's Court sentenced former Kiryat Malachi Mayor Moti Malka to 250 hours of community service, six months probation and NIS 30,000 compensation to each of the two complainants. Malka was convicted in the course of a plea bargain in sexual harassment, fraud and breach of trust in relation to zoning issues.

In the course of the plea bargain, Malka resigned his role as mayor and will not run in the next election. (Ilana Curiel)
