Akko: 60-year-old threatens immolation in bank branch

A 60-year-old man from Akko threatened to torch himself in a bank branch in the city if his financial demands are not met. A police officer managed to restrain him, and a bottle of flammable fluid and letters explaining his deeds were found in his bag. No one was injured, and the man was taken to an interrogation.

A preliminary investigation revealed the man was previously suspected of fraudulent withdrawal of money from the bank, and therefore his account was frozen. (Maor Buchnick)
