Manhattan: Thousands of haredim demonstrate against draft

Tens of thousands of haredim from New York demonstrated Sunday night in Manhattan's Foley Square against Israeli legislation to recruit yeshiva students to the IDF, news website Newsday reported.
A New York police spokesperson said that no arrests were made in the demonstration. A haredi blogger interviewed by Newsday said that the event was quiet and not violent. (Ynet)
