Google to officially announce Waze purchase for $1.1 Billion

Google will officially announce Monday the purchase of the Israeli startup Waze for $1.1 billion, the Bloomberg news agency reported.
The purchase negotiation between Google and Waze was revealed two weeks ago on the Bloomberg website, apparently only days after Facebook backed down from negotiations. It is estimated that Waze's development center will not be transferred to the United States and will be run by an Israeli team in the next few years. (Calcalist)
