11 die in China building collapse; gas leak blamed

State media say at least 11 people were killed when an explosion caused a three-story office building to collapse in eastern China.
Xinhua News Agency says the explosion occurred Tuesday morning in an employee cafeteria of a gas sales company in the city of Suzhou, west of Shanghai. The report says nine survivors were being treated in hospitals. Xinhua says a preliminary investigation showed a gas leak caused the blast. (AP)
