Olmert lawyers fight prosecution appeal

Lawyers for former Prime Minister Ehud Olmert filed a response to the Attorney General’s appeal with the Supreme Court, following the verdict in Olmert’s trial in Jerusalem District Court. Olmert was acquitted in the Talansky and Rishon Tours affair and convicted in the Investment Center case.

Olmert's lawyers argue that the judgment of the District Court was justified and thus, the appeal should be rejected. They further contend there were serious errors in the prosecution’s conduct in the case and to a conflict of interest on the part of the State Prosecutor Moshe Dor. (Aviel Magnezi)
