Nabil Shaath: We can't guarantee there won’t be another intifada
Palestinian official Nabil Shaath said in a meeting with Israeli reporters that the Palestinians can't guarantee there won't be another intifada. "We are doing the utmost to prevent a violent uprising, but an intifada doesn't have to be violent. It's a reaction against the status quo."
Shaath added that should Netanyahu agree to freeze settlement construction and free Palestinian prisoners tried prior to 1993 the Palestinians will return to the negotiating table. (Attila Somfalvi)
