Palestinian armed with knife shot at Qalandia checkpoint

A young Palestinian reached the Qalandia checkpoint near Jerusalem while carrying a knife. Civilian security men ordered him to stop after he did not respond to their calls. The security men later on shot in the air as a warning, and after the fire did not spark any response, the man was shot at his lower body and wounded in the leg.
Following the event, there has been stone throwing at the checkpoint. Border Guard officers reported that no soldiers were injured in the event. (Noam Dvir)
