Habayit Hayehudi to oppose civil union bill for gays

The Habayit Hayehudi faction is expected to vote against the civil union bill to apply to single-sex couples. Nevertheless, faction chairman and Religious Affairs Minister Naftali Bennett is expected to announce the establishing of a committee to examine the issue.

The committee, to include deputy Religious Affairs Minister Eli Ben-Dahan and coalition members, is set to present its conclusions in 12 days. Earlier, the Yesh Atid ministers announced they will oppose the bill if it does not include single-sex couples. (Moran Azulay)
