Amir Peretz: Palestinian state is in Israel's interests

Environmental Protection Minister Air Peretz referred to remarks made by Economy Minister Naftali Bennett regarding the idea of a Palestinian state reaching "a dead end," and said: "A Palestinian state is an Israeli interest. Without a separation between the states there will be no Jewish homeland, but a bi-national state and a danger to the State's democracy."
Science and Technology Minister Yaakov Peri also condemned Bennett's remarks: "These kind of statements sabotage the peace efforts and damage the attempts to build economic bridges and confidence-building measures between Israel and the Palestinians." (Moran Azulay)
