The “Awakening” movement submitted an appeal to the Supreme Court against the Treasury and Jerusalem Municipality demanding that “Cinema City” compound be opened on Saturdays.
The appeals claimed the decision to hold the compound closed on the religious day of rest represents religious coercion and compromises the basic rights of the city's residents. (Aviel Magnezi)
