50 students protest Bar Ilan dorm closure
Around 50 students from Bar Ilan University demonstrated outside the university administration building to protest the closure of the Carmel dorms. The students yelled, “We do not want to sleep on the benches," and, "Don’t take our dorm."
Earlier this morning, some students set up a tent outside the home of the institution’s director. The chair of the Student Union, Matan Bar Noy said, “When students leave the virtual space and begin to protest, that is a sign there is a real problem; We will fight and will not allow a student to remain one homeless."
