Russia: Hezbollah interfered in Syria for fear Assad would fall

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov said in an interview with the London-based newspaper al-Hayat that Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah had told him that the group had decided to step in and assist its allies in Syria only when it realized there was danger the Assad regime would fall.
Bogdanov added that Nasrallah had told him he had no desire to interfere in Syria. (Roi Kais)
