White House: 700 US troops to remain in Jordan due to Syrian crisis

According to a White House statement, per the Jordanian government's request, 700 combat-ready US troops will remain in Jordanian territory after the exercise which took place earlier this week until the security situation will allow their departure.

According to the statement, the remaining force includes Patriot Missile systems, fighter jets among others. (News Agencies)
