Man suspected of sexually assaulting elderly women remanded

The Ashkelon Magistrate's Court remanded by an additional five days a 27-year-old man suspected of sexually assaulting 14 elderly women over a three months period.
The man was arrested last week on suspicion that he attacked 53-87 year old women, most of them from the former USSR. According to the allegations, most of the attacks occurred in stairwells or in deserted streets near his residence. The suspect confessed to the allegations. (Neri Brenner)
