Gaza: Islamic Jihad cuts ties with Hamas

The Gaza-based Islamic Jihad terrorist group announced Sunday that it was temporarily cutting its ties with Hamas, accusing the latter of killing one of its members, Maan news agency reported.

According to Maan, Raed Qassim Jundeyeih, a member of Islamic Jihad's militant wing, the Al-Quds Brigades, died on Sunday after being shot a day earlier by Hamas police officers, allegedly as a "favor" for Israel. Tensions between the two groups further increased after an Islamic Jihad member was hit by a jeep driven by a Hamas member during the funeral procession for the slain member. (Ynet)
