Defense Ministry Director: NIS 8B cut by end 2014

Defense Ministry Director Udi Shani said, "The news of a cut of NIS 3 Billion from the defense budget is a bluff. By the end of 2014 they will cut NIS 8 Billion. "
Shani said this in a discussion of the Committee of Labor, Welfare and Health which discussed the possibility of cancellation of the Merkava tank project. This would result in the dismissal of 8,000 employees. (Zvi Lavi)
